Native American College Grants

There are many financial aid opportunities for Native Americans in the form of grants and scholarship. To be eligible, you must prove your ethnicity with a Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) and also belong to a federally recognized tribe

American Indian College Fund

The American Indian College Fund adminsters several scholarship programs offered to American Indian students attending both tribal colleges and selected mainstream universities. They also adminster graduate programs

Other Native American College Grants

  • American Indian Graduate Center - Their mission is to improve the cultural and economic well being of American Indians and Native Alaskans, individually and tribally, through graduate education. Multiple Scholarship/Grants are offered.

  • American Baptist Financial Aid Program Native American Grants - This grants is available to Baptist Native American undergraduate and graduate students. The award is between $1000 and $2000.

  • Blackfeet Nation Higher Education Grant - This grant is available to 140 Blackfeet Tribe undergraduate students. The grant is for $3500.

  • Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin Higher Education Grant - They grant is available to 136 Menominee tribal members who are undergraduate students at any college. The grant is between $100 to $1100.

  • Native American Education Grants - The grant is awarded each year to 10-125 Native American undergraduate and graduate students for $2000.
