The David Letterman Scholarship
The David Letterman Scholarship, established in 1985, was funded for telecommunications students at Ball State University. The goal of the scholarshp is assist average students who have a creative mind. Winners are selected primarily based on creativity.

Qualifications: Grades are not a criterion, Must be full-time student and U.S. citizen
Amount: Winner receives a $10,000. The first runner-up receives $5,000 and the second runner-up receives $3,333.
Number of Recipients: Annually to more that one student
Degree Type: First-quarter juniors through first-quarter seniors
Student Type: All
Special Reciepts: Students must choose projects that involve a variety of media functions including written work, research, audio, video, graphics and film.
