Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation

The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation provides financial assistance for higher education to deserving sons and daughters of Marines and children of former Marines. They give particular attention to children whose parent was killed or wounded in action.

The Foundation has made special commitments to the sons and daughters of Marines and Navy Corpsmen, and in other special circumstances, to the children of all American servicemen and women, whose parent is killed in combat.

Qualifications: Academic good standing (3.0 GPA or higher), full-time student, U.S. citizen

Amount: $1,500 to $3,000

Number of Recipients: Annually to many students (renewable)

Degree Type: Undergraduate (1st Degree)

Student Type: Marines, Military, and Navy Corpsmen

Special Recipients:

  • An active duty or reserve U. S. Marine
  • A U.S. Marine who has served at least 90 days and has received an honorable discharge, medical discharge, or was killed while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps
  • An active duty or reserve U.S. Navy Corpsman who is serving, or has served, with the U.S. Marine Corps
  • A U.S. Navy Corpsman who has served with the U.S. Marine Corps and has received an honorable discharge, medical discharge, or was killed while serving in the U.S. Navy
