The Connecticut Department of Higher Education

The Connecticut Department of Higher Education was established to promote postsecondary education to Connecticut students. To fulfill this mission, they make higher education policy, review public college and university budgets, license and accredit academic programs, evaluate institutional effectiveness and coordinate programs and services. Lastly, they administer statewide student financial assistance programs.
