Another very important place to look is professional groups or associations. These organizations purpose is to support and guide people who work and want to work in this field. Here are some national professional associations that are currently offering scholarships:

• Promise of Nursing Regional Scholarship - awarded to all students enrolled in accredited programs leading to RN licensure. (Multiple states)

Nursing Scholarships

• The George Snow Scholarship Fund was created for students who graduated high school in Florida and want to attend any accredited college, university, or vocational/technical school.
• Career Mobility Scholarship - awarded to nursing or pre-nursing students who are registered nurse.
• Specialty Nursing Scholarship - awarded to students interested in pursuing specialized areas of nursing practice.
• McKesson Scholarship - awarded to all students enrolled in accredited programs leading to RN licensure.

Minority Nursing Scholarships

• Breakthrough to Nursing Scholarships - awarded to individuals who are of ethnic or racial minorities under-represented in the nursing profession.
• Health Careers Bridge to Nursing Program provides selected nursing students in California with scholarships, stipends for living expenses, book grants, Kaplan prep courses, and NCLEX-RN exam fees.
